Elli’s love life seemed to have come to an end when she turned fifty. She was bastioned behind books, memories and photo albums – she thought they were enough. A meeting at the open market of her neighborhood with a much younger man ignites her dormant desires. Antonis is married; Elli is intrigued and, before long, she falls in love. This meeting will give her a new role and plunge her into an unpredictable and risky affair. A love story set at the beginning of a financial crisis that determines the characters’ lives, a beautiful novel about loss, departure, and the joy of giving.
