Mr Book-Mouse, of the illustrious Tita Gruyere family, has just had his third child, a little girl. According to the old legend, the first-born girl in each generation of the family will be specially gifted, as long as her father discovers a treasure particularly suitable for her. So Mr Book-Mouse begins his search in the library. He enters the most delicious books, having previously feasted his eyes on them. He meets Papageno; he voyages as far as the Little Prince’s planet; he has a conversation with the Emperor’s Nightingale. Tinker Bell helps him to find the treasure after they manage to go past Captain Hook on the previous page. When Mr Book-Mouse opens the treasure chest, he finds a hoard of fairy-tale books in it. Books are the little girl’s treasure! Mr Book-Mouse is the beloved character in four books in the series “No Lifejakcet!”, which has received a prize for its illustrations. The book includes a CD (narrated story and music) and a Book-Mouse cloth bookmark.

Vagelis Iliopoulos

Vagelis Iliopoulos was born in Athens in 1964. He studied Pedagogics and Theology at the University of Athens. He has been working in the primary school field since 1984. He has written numerous books for children and young adults and has received many awards. His books have been translated in several languages (Italian, German, Catalan, English, Turkish, Korean, Chinese, Serbian). He lives in Athens with his wife and two children.
