Atropos or The Life and Death of Venetia Daponte

Maria E. Skiadaressi was born in Athens, Greece, in 1956. She studied History and Archeology in the University of Athens. She worked for a number of years in excavations in Crete and as a history teacher. Her first novel, Atropos or the Life and Death of Venetia Daponte, published in 1996, was received with enthusiasm by both the public and the critics and is one of Patakis Publishers best long selling titles. In 1999 Yellow Time, a collection of 4 short stories was published, proving the talent of a gifted author. Her more recent novel, The Seventh Island was published in December 2013.
