Thanassis Chimonas

Thanassis Chimonas was born in 1971 in Athens. He studied Literature and Film at the University of Strasbourg and Journalism in London. He has written five previous novels, «Ramon» (Kedros, 1998), «Broken Greek» (Kedros, 2000), «Inscrutable Soul» (Patakis, 2003), «L’Heure Bleue» (Patakis, 2005) & «Rapid Fall» (Patakis, 2008). «Ramon» was published in French by Editions Alteredit in 2002, followed by «Broken Greek» in 2003.

Four picture books illustrated by Effie Lada have just been published by the Chinese publisher Shanghai 99 Culture Consulting CO.! Three stories based on traditional tales, "Teardrop's Feat", "The Tower Manuscripts" and "Mary and the Sugarplum Man" by author Athina Biniou, and "The Birthday of the Infanta", Oscar Wilde's story retold by the illustrator.
