Kostas Magos

Kostas Magos was born and raised in Lesvos, but now lives in Volos. He works as a Lecturer at the Pedagogical Department of the University of Thessaly, where he teaches and researches issues of intercultural pedagogy. A number of his books have been published by Patakis Publishers: The Secret of the Sea, The Forest of the Wooden Pencil Sharpener, Trum, and Emilio’s Long Journey. His work has been awarded with a Commendation by the Greek Section of IBBY.

New Chinese editions for our picture books!

Four picture books illustrated by Effie Lada have just been published by the Chinese publisher Shanghai 99 Culture Consulting CO.! Three stories based on traditional tales, "Teardrop's Feat", "The Tower Manuscripts" and "Mary and the Sugarplum Man" by author Athina Biniou, and "The Birthday of the Infanta", Oscar Wilde's story retold by the illustrator.
