That day Anestis the badger woke up feeling blue. He stood up in front of the mirror and shook his head. "Good morning Anestis; another lonely day just started," he muttered. He had a sudden thought: "Since no one wants me because I am a badger, I will transform myself into another animal." That's when he met Eva the badger. "How did you find me?" he asked her. "The smell led me to you, you smell incredible but I guess you already know that," she answered him and Anestis blushed red like a tomato.
Maira Papathanassopoulou was born in Athens in 1967. She studied German Literature and works as a translator. Her first book, the novel Judas' Wonderful Kiss (1998), climbed immediately to the top of the bestsellers list and has sold more than 300.000 copies. She has published three more novels, Three Men and One Woman (2000), Sweet, Sweet Power (2004) & Blessed are those who mourn (2006). She has also written two children’s picture books, The Spell of Smell (2001) and Don't Cry Wolf (2003). Her books have been translated so far in 15 languages.
