What do an indignant recycling bin, a terrified pencil and a disappointed boy have in common? Well, all three are having a really tough time, each for different reasons, so tough in fact that they finally decide to run away. This may sound easy but see what happens when these three meet and decide to join forces to show a town what recycling means. And, to add to their task, they'll encounter all kinds of obstacles that threaten to spoil their plans. Will they succeed in the end?

Katerina Tzoridou

Born in 1966, Katerina Tzoridou studied in the Education Department of Primary Education in Thessaloniki. She was a member of the editorial board of the film gazette Parallaxi and has also written piecces for the film magazine Othoni. For the last ten years, she has been translating literature from English and Spanish. And naturally she is a writer of children's books. Today she lives in Holland.

Four picture books illustrated by Effie Lada have just been published by the Chinese publisher Shanghai 99 Culture Consulting CO.! Three stories based on traditional tales, "Teardrop's Feat", "The Tower Manuscripts" and "Mary and the Sugarplum Man" by author Athina Biniou, and "The Birthday of the Infanta", Oscar Wilde's story retold by the illustrator.
