One snowy day while Dorinda is away at school, the Gudungobbler lays a cunning trap. Using jelly beans and a red brick he succeeds in snatching Gudun. He intends to stuff him and put him in the roasting pan. But the ingredients for the stuffed Gudun recipe include bicycle bells, umbrella handles, pom-poms from slippers and a dozen cuckoos from Swiss clocks. While the Gudungobbler is searching for the necessary ingredients, Dorinda follows his footsteps in the snow. Will she arrive in time to save her dear friend before the Gudungobbler pops him in the oven?

Evgenios Trivizas

Evgenios Trivizas is a lawyer, a graduate of the Law School at the University of Athens, with a Master of Laws (University College) and a PhD in Law by the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Senior Research Fellow of the University of London. He teaches Criminology and Comparative Criminal Law at the Reading University and he is also the Director for Criminal Justice Studies there. He has also taught at the Bramshill Police College, The Central London Polytechnic and the London School of Economics. Since 1993 to 1998 he’s been a lecturer of Criminology at the Panteio University of Athens. He has written over a hundred books for children, just the one book for adults, and over twenty theatrical plays. He has received numerous awards and great acclaim for his work: Awards by the Greek section of IBBY, the Parents Choice Amazing Accomplishment Award, the Shefficedls children’s Book Award Commendation, the Massachussets Children’s Choice Award, and many more.

Three stories based on traditional tales, "Teardrop's Feat", "The Tower Manuscripts" and "Mary and the Sugarplum Man" by author Athina Biniou, and "The Birthday of the Infanta", Oscar Wilde's story retold by the illustrator.
