My Name Is Niloufer

I Want to Tell You the Truth, I promise, My Name is Niloufer are three books connected in several ways to each other. They explore the feeling of being a foreigner not only because somebody is an immigrant but because he is different. They talk about the profound need to belong to a community, to be accepted and incorporated in a group of people. They also tell the stories of children facing difficult situations related with immigration: poverty, struggling for life, child labor, bullying, social exclusion. But on the other hand there is friendship, solidarity and empathy. After all, these three stories refer to school where there are teachers who devise different strategies to deal with issues obstructing children from living a happy school life.
