Good News about Women & HPV

Alexander Mortakis was born in Chios in Greece. He graduated from the University of Athens School of Medicine. He took his residency in Obstetrics and Gyneacology at the clinic of Aretaieion University Hospital. He gained his PhD from the University of Athens School of Medicine (1988) and was later trained in the Gynaecological clinic of the University of California, San Francisco (1989-1990). The object of his training during his stay in the USA was the infection from HPV and carcinogenesis in the genital tract of women, prevention and early detection of gynaecological cancer and gynaecological endoscopy (colposcopy, hysteroscopy and laparoscopy). These are his objectives to this day. He was a research fellow at the clinic of Aretaieion University Hospital and "Andreas Syggros" Hospital. He worked at "Andreas Syggros" for eight consecutive years at the Colposcopy Health Clinic, which was founded in 1991 for the treatment of infection from HPV in women. He has written three books, that were published by Litsas Medicinal Publishers and were concerned with infection from HPV, colposcopy, and precancerous lesions in the lower genital tract of women. He has also co-written ten chapters for books of other authors. He regularly gives speeches at conferences, seminars and various scientific events.
